Due to the success of the first apprenticeship event we have organised a second event for Wednesday 17th December. We will be inviting all of the 34 employers on our contacts list and also advertising the event in the local paper so that it is open to other businesses should they wish to come along.
The apprenticeship event held on the 11/11/2014 was a great success which provided local employers with the opportunity to network and share their experiences of having apprentices with employers that have not had apprentices in the past. Functional Skills tutors created a draft copy of the resources and have supplied these to a Tutor and Employer in both the Hair and Motor Vehicle sectors for testing. We have also engaged an external design company to have the Functional Skills resources made for the employers and tutors.
Economic Solutions attended the VET conference as one of four project leads to share the resources developed for both strands of the proejct so far.
